I have never used any before and do not know where to find the fine glitter that I think is needed. Any help would be appreciated. Most soft-plastic lure suppliers should also have it, along with tackle component companies like Stamina, etc. Search, google, & choose! BobP Posted September 25, 2007 Report Share Posted September 25, 2007 I like to use the 2 oz bottles of paint-on glitter sold at Michaels, etc. Thin it with water and apply with a soft brush. The advantage? You can exactly control where and how much you apply. It's cheaper than dry glitter and comes in a wider range of colors and particle sizes. Palmetto Balsa Posted September 29, 2007 Report Share Posted September 29, 2007 Check your area for a glitter called Poly-Flake. I found mine at Hobby Lobby craft stores. It seems to be solvent proof and mixes in very good with any clearcoat or topcoat. Some of the colors are holographic types and some are more like pearls called Disco. The Disco colors won't show up very well until they are applied over the recommended colors, then they will pop. Otherwise they look a little transparent. All this glitters are very, very fine but it did clog my airbrush when I was shooting with a fine needle.
