CSG
I need your help a little guys. I am looking for green glitter to add to some of my baits. I have never used any before and do not know where to find the fine glitter that I think is needed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott
Lure--Prof
I don't know where you live Scott, but I've purchased green glitter from Michael's craft stores before. Most soft-plastic lure suppliers should also have it, along with tackle component companies like Stamina, etc. Search, google, & choose! benton B
Like Dean said, Michael's and Hobby Lobby with have the biggest selection, just look for the smallest glitter you can find.
Nathan
Michales and similiar stores carry it in spray cans..but it is getting harder too find it at these stores. Senkosam has a huge selection of glitters that you can mix with a little polyacrilic and brush on...Senkosam hangs out around the soft plastic forum...Nathan

BobP
I like to use the 2 oz bottles of paint-on glitter sold at Michaels, etc. Thin it with water and apply with a soft brush. The advantage? You can exactly control where and how much you apply. It's cheaper than dry glitter and comes in a wider range of colors and particle sizes. Traybird
Can you mix gliter with paint and shoot it on or do you have apply it anotherway?
fish devil
I live by pearl paint and get a discount from them. You could try their website http://pearlpaint.com/
BobP
Traybird, if you mix paint and glitter, the paint coats the glitter and it disappears. You need to apply it after colors, either as a separate layer or mixed in with the clearcoat.

Palmetto Balsa
Check your area for a glitter called Poly-Flake. I found mine at Hobby Lobby craft stores. It seems to be solvent proof and mixes in very good with any clearcoat or topcoat. Some of the colors are holographic types and some are more like pearls called Disco. The Disco colors won't show up very well until they are applied over the recommended colors, then they will pop. Otherwise they look a little transparent. All this glitters are very, very fine but it did clog my airbrush when I was shooting with a fine needle. The Kelly Green looks great. https://www.craftsetc.com/store/department.aspx?dep=50&cat=6&subcat=25&IsOnSale=0&IsFeatured=0&IsNew=0&pg=2 This is the site I found these pics on but I have never bought from them. The price seems about right and you would have to make a lot of very large baits to use up a tube of it.
