Scale carving tip

Just a little something I thought of that may be of interest to some. I had an interest in gunsmithing for awhile, ended up losing interest because of the expense of tools and my new interest in lurebuilding. One of the tools that I immediately thought of that might work well is a checkering carving tool kit, like this one. They have kits for various checkering patterns (measured in lines per inch), and are not terribly difficult to use if you have ever used any sort of chisel. I think they would make a very nice scale pattern, and would really flash with foil put over it (although working the foil into all the checkering might just be the most tedious task of all time).
