jrhopkins
i have got a lot of inquiries from guys in california asking about big swimbaits. i just finished making these for a guy. both are 7"-8" long, 2.4 oz. and 3 oz. both are slow sinkers. i have finally figured out how to make them lipless ( at least i think i have, time will tell. ). they both have that slow swimming action of a fish, with the tail section swimming and the head stationary. i think the key is in the positioning of the segments in relation to the overall length and circumfrence ( i don't know how to spell that! ) of the lure. anyway, these two swim excellant, will have to see how the next ones turn out. got a little glare on the lures, excuse the sloppy photography. mark poulson
Wow, they're beautiful! I fish in SoCal, and throw and see lots of swimbaits, and yours are up there with the best of them for looks. I hope they swim as good as they look. If you don't mine me asking, what kind of hinges do you use, and where do you get your harware?
