tactical-bass Posted October 6, 2007 Report Share Posted October 6, 2007 Anyone know how to take the right (handle side) sideplate offs this reel? Can't seem to be able to remove the handle, there are no screws like most other Quantum reels. I've removed two screws on the inside right of the reel frame, and removed the stabilizer bar that connects the left and right side. I'm stumped right now. Regarding your E760PT, this is fairly easy to do, you just must know the secret. Lets look at 3 components only. #1-Handle, #2-Drag Star, #3-Funky looking washer that lies between #1 & #2. Step 1, tighten drag star down all the way it will go. Step 2, with fingernails, try to push #3 (funky looking washer) toward drag star. This part is spring loaded, and must be depressed toward drag star to "unlock" the handle. You must keep #3 pushed in all the way, and simply unscrew the handle from the crankshaft. The handle will come off without much force, if done properly. Any other questions, please email me.
