squigster
Hello Everyone, I made my first POP molds today and I am having some trouble with them. I glued a few baits to a piece of Lexan and laid it in the POP. The problem seems to be that it trapped air around the bait. Do you guys drill holes near the bait to release this air? I ended up with wings around all my baits except for the flukes and thats only because I didnt glue them in, I just pushed them in the POP. Also, I made some spider skirts in the POP but after looking at them it looks like they would be really hard to pour. The skirts are only about 3/32" dia. Does anyone see this as a problem for handpours? Any help would be greatly appreicated.
Vodkaman
If the patterns where placed in the bottom of the pour, the air would rise, away from the mould face.
Smallie
In addition to placing the master on the bottom, vibrate the mold some how. Tapping the mold on the table is the easiest way. This will make the bubbles rise away from the master.
