Carolina Slim
I know others have experienced air pockets close to the head of the pour on the 5.25 Del Mart Stick mold. What is the trick? Do most of you pour straight down the center of the hole or off to the side and let in "run in" It's happens about 20% of the time. The baits that come out without the air pockets are perfect! Having fun!
Senkosam
I've found two things that work much of the time. 1. Like you said, always tilt when pouring. 2. Take a wooden ka-bob skewer or coat hanger wire, and poke into the filled end to break the air bubble. Pour into the cavity. This assumes the plastic is hot and runny and chunk-free. Tubeman
Slow down your pouring, it will remove all chance of any air pockets. As Sam said make sure the plastic is hot enough as well. I too had these problems and it was because I poured too fast.
