bassman843
I use LC plastic and I tried the 502 and the 536 and for some molds its to soft I was wondering if anyone uses their salt water mix for a stiffer bait or if they use hardener to make a stiffer bait. I have never used their plastic myself, but my experience with what I have used is that you have to stir it well before you heat and every 30 seconds while you heat. The baits will be soft until they sit for a little while. If you add salt they will stiffen up. I am new to this myself so someone more experienced on here may have better insite on this. I know alot of the guys here use LC plastic and like it.
rockylinx
Hello. Im no expert but what i pour 99% of the time is saltwater swim bait. The Medium is too soft and the saltwater is too hard. My advise is to get the Med plastic and get a quart of hardener and a quart of softener and experiment. I've managed to get a consistent texture this way. If i want a softer bait or harder bait its only 1/2 oz of hardener/softener in either direction for a pint. I use LC plastic. alsworms
That 500 formula is like pouring a rock. I don't know how any of you guys get that stuff to a pourable state. I have darn near the same problem with 502. Bottom line is it sounds to me like maybe it's not mixed well enough?
bojon
I use the 500 for my tube dipping and it works fine.Stir it well and use a micro wave and a Pyrex cup and I think you will be a bit more happy.
