CGL PITS
Can someone provide me with some feedback on what they recommend on Senko style molds. I have looked at Aluminum RTV S and others just somefeed back on what and where i should start.
earthworm77
Absolutely go with aluminum. Del's or Bob's makes the best IMHO
MDC
Hands down Aluminum 60-70 skins sounds like a lot, but no more $6-$7 a bag. You can pour 100 in an evening, once you get going. I prefer Bob's. Del's are a bit busy with the alignment pins, but his molds work well. Bob's pins are built in.
sotoole
Ditto the aluminum....
jmik26
I agree with the guys, I have 4 stick molds from Del. You can spank out 100 sticks in a hour or so. I would not waste your time trying to find a used mold either, they usually go for dollars less then what you pay for new. If your dead set against the price do a search on here. I think I remember some guys talking about the LC stick molds being real nice. Hope this helps.....Jeff
CGL PITS
Thanks for the quick response's and opinions. Now i have another question who's is better in quality DM or Bobs TS when it comes down to matching the detail of a Senko.
MDC
They both have great detail. I would say the ribs in Del's are sharper and a bit deeper. Bob's are a little more rounded. If you pour too hot either one will gas causing tiny voids along the ribs where air was trapped.
Richard Prager
I have several molds from both Bob and Delw. They are the best in the business.
