timjohnson
What do you store your jigs in until you use them? I make the jigs, but don't put skirts on them until I am ready to use them, and I am storing jigs with weedguards. Right now I'm putting them in plastic bags and then in plastic jars by kind, size, etc. I am storing quite a few jigs in each jar. The problem is, when I take the jigs out of the jar and get ready to use them, some of the weedguards are crushed or spread out from the weight of all the jigs in the jar. How do you store your jigs without harming the weedguards from the weight of other jigs on them? Thanks and appreciate the help.
LedHed
Try a three ringer binder and use the pastic sheets that are made for baseball cards. I use this method of storage for fly hooks and ultra-lite plastic baits.
dampeoples
I've got one of the Falcon FTO boxes for mine, doesn't work with football jigs above finesse, but for everything else, it works great
HookUp
I use the plastic holders the hooks come in (or aaa batteries, or post its or whatever). Cheap, and they don't hold to much to cause any problems.
timjohnson
Thanks for the responses, but I think I need to be more clear. I'm not talking about a small number of jigs, these are jigs that are made but stored for sale or for future use... 100's of them (actually more like 1000's). What method do you use to store a LOT of jigs, organized, and not harm the weedguards? LOL, I'd need a BUNCH of FTO's, ring binders or hook packs for all the jigs I make! I'm talking BULK supplies, not just a few.
Vodkaman
A few polystyrene ceiling tiles should keep them tidy. Should be able to hook on 400 - 500 per tile.

JIGNPIG
I store mine in take out Chinese food containers! They are rectangle and have nice plastic lids. I can store about three hundred in each container. They also stack neatly.
Uncleskippy
JIGNPIG, I do the same. They last also. I have some that are 8 years old. Uncleskippy
Tony Maxwell
I made a rack using 1 X 6 boards, 1/4" all thread rod, washers and nuts. Stagger the rod so that each is a little more that jig length above the last and either in front of or behind it so that you can hang them on the rods. the all thread keeps them from sliding together when you need to move the rack. Hop you understand what I'm trying to say.
WidowMaker
One way to keep the weedguard straight is to place a rubber skirt collar around the middle of the weedguard.
