North Carolina Sportsman Magazine??

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was asked by a member at my site yesterday about a lake upstate (his son is preparing for the B.A.S.S. Junior world Championship coming up. While answering his question I discovered many of the SouthCarolinaSportsman magazine articles are online. And NorthCarolinaSportsman is owned by the same group (as is LouisianaSportsman).

Long story short I found about 10 articles for him on this one small bass lake in upstate South Carolina. So you can maybe find your article by googling with your search terms and add 'site:northcarolinasportsman.com'. This will provide match results only from this one website. Note google doesn't index every site every day so results will be from the last scan which varies from site to site.

An article on finding all you want out of any search engine is at this link http://lifehacker.com/software/search-engines/seek-and-ye-shall-find--top-20-search-engine-helpers-131617.php

Good luck.

Since the same people are behind all three magazines I bet they cross-pollinate some of their articles. And authors. I'd look around SouthCarolinaSportsman.com for articles from the same author or using similar search terms. But if you have the pdf never mind :).

Also it's a bad idea to use a real email address in a forum indexed by google. Because if I was joe-the-spam-guy I could find a lot of addresses quickly and sell it to someone targeting email addresses of those who like to fish. I'd use a google search term like 'site:tackleunderground.com email address'. Clicking this showed me a warning message from TU about not showng my real email address in a forum and then multiple pages of members names with email addresses who have done so. This is one way to find email addresses.

In a former life I wrote search engine software and was often amazed how much useful stuff I'd get out of my logs or the engine. But a 15 line perl program would allow you to search many fishing sites for email addresses...and this is what spammers do.
