I like Worth Company because I can buy in large volumes but I would like to find other manufacturers that the distribution companies use. Give some specifics (items), and everyone will be glad to point you in the right direction. Barlow's and Jann's are the middlemen, or retailers. They work hard to get the best prices from the manufacturers through negotiations and volume buying. It has been my experience that they are not willing to share their sources with you. Also, many manufacturerers will not sell to you at a lower price say than what they sell to Barlow's or Jann's as that would be classified as 'industrial suicide'. ghost Posted October 20, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 Not sure why a manufacturer wouldn't sell direct when we are talking quantities of well over the thousands. It is cheaper to buy from Worth Company than it is to buy from Barlows or Janns for the same product. Jann's and Barlows are great for people who only need a few hundred of something at a time, but it is not cost effective if you want 5,000 + at one time. I get all my beads, clevis's, split rings, blades, and lure bodies from Worth because it is much more cost effective.
