Shawn M
Does anyone remember these? Netcraft used to sell them 20+ years ago. I used the 3" ones on a jighead as a kid and caught tons of fish. I've thought about them over the past few years, and was wondering if anyone knew if they were still made somewhere (preferably 4")? I know this isn't a "fishing tip" but was hoping someone remembered them... Shawn
willie525
are they like a twin tail that is spilt and has 2 more tails?
Shawn M
They were double tailed "grubs". The tails were very thin, especially compared to what else was out there then (Mister Twister). They had the best action of any grub style bait I've ever used. I contacted Netcraft some years ago and was only told that they didn't carry them anymore, no info on where they got them from in the first place. 6_feet_deep
http://www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0043309111488a.shtml These are made by Mepps, but I don't know if you can buy them without buying the spoon. I think there is one spoon and 3 grubs in a pack. Hope this helps...I use these on Jigs at times and they seem to have a decent action. Spike-A-Pike
I used to have good luck with the Mepps Black Furry Combo about 20 years ago. They make Mepps in Antigo, WI and I think they offer tours. They are always looking to buy squirle tails. You can accually order directly from Mister Twister. The 4 inch Double Tail cost about $3.00 for 10, $18.00 for 100. http://www.mistertwister.com/
6_feet_deep
Yea, when days get slow and the sun's off and on, check out the black fury series of in-lines...I've snagged some pretty decent fish on those things which are made by mepps as well.
