Tx-Rigged
So I'm wanting to get into pouring my own worms. Seems like these POP molds are a decent way to get in for beginners but I don't know what exactly POP is. Is that some sort of plaster? Like the kind you'd use on walls? Are there any brands or types that you'd recommend b4 i go to Home depot? Thanks ps more questions to follow im sure hehe pss Hi all this is my first post. Ive been fishing for about 6 months now and I'm loving it. I live in MD right now but from TX. I fish out of Liberty Res. mostly so if you see some newbie on the bank not catching anything ... that's probably me
nova
POP is simply plaster of paris. If you do a search here you will find all kinds of instructions to get you going. Welcome and good luck. www.novalures.com
BassnRandy
I am still working on a few problems but i made a mold from powdered durabond 90 last night. Almost indestructable. BUT even thinned alot I still had bubble issues. I have been a drywall finisher for years as a side job thng and never thought to try it till I cleaned a bucket out the other day that i for got to wash after using it. redg8r
Hey Randy, I had a buddy awhile back tell me they make a powdered drywall compound thats supposed to set/cure in 5-15 minutes........ ever heard of that stuff? Think it would be worth trying?
BassnRandy
That would be the Durabond. It's used on corners, abused type areas and places that need a stronger finish. Sets up in 15min- an hour depending on which one you use. Hard as a rock in hours. If i can get it to work it is another inexpensive mold material.
