m.roach
There was an old lure that I absolutely loved. It caught my biggest bass 8 1/2 pounds and also accounted for numerous other 5+ pounders. Unfortunately, I lost it to a tree 3 years ago and have never found one similar since. It was a jointed jerkbait, similar to a rapala jointed. I guess it was about 10 years old and made out of plastic. The paint was all worn off, but it was silver with a blue back. The difference between this one and a rapala jointed was that it had a looser joint and swam in a S pattern. My best guess would be that it was a rebel.. but I'm not too sure. It also was a shallow lure, running no deeper than 1 foot.
willie525
i would geuss a rebel too, could you post a pic?
scottkehl1282
I was going to say a cordell jointed redfin until you said it didnt even run a foot deep. I dont know, probably a rebel wakebait or something like that, but look at the red fins and see if thats it.
m.roach
Sorry about the pic.. I don't have one. Like I said, I lost the lure and am just trying to go by memory what it was. I personally thought it was a rebel, but I thought the joint was more in the middle instead of the rear. I'll check out the cordell and see if that was it. Matt Moreau
probably the Rebel Fastracs; http://www.mexfish.com/apgs/rebels/rebels.htm How long was it...any more details?
LedHed
Great site LKN4DDB. Ordered alot of fastracs from Gene for Baja. He gets the right colors.
m.roach
It wasn't a fastrac... looking at the mexfish website of the fastracs, it looked similar to the surface version but the joint was more in the middle. I'm starting to think it was a rebel jointed floating minnow. So if anyone can describe the action/swimming motion of a jointed floating minnow, I would be able to tell if that was it.
