Ogajiga
Now that I've got your attention, are there any gals around here? I think female creativity could add a unique level of skill to our craft, and would be interested in knowing what you're doing.
Vodkaman
One devious plan is to involve your partner in the hobby, this ensures minimum resistance to the time consuming activity. I think that you are correct with the creativity idea and it would be nice to see a few more ladies on the forum, I only know of one at the moment. I'm sure that many of the wives and girlfriends of members would have plenty to say to other TU members. I think it is a great idea.

You are right about that, my wife is my tournament fishing partner, along with all the other times I fish, and you know what I have no resistance buying anything regarding fishing. I just boat a new boat this year, never had a problem with her, (that is my wife I'm talking about) oh yeah the boat too. Yes it would be nice to see some feminine creativity around here. I would have my wife post some stuff, but everythink she likes is pink. Wayyyyyyy tooooooo girly for me.........JMO

Vodkaman
I did a TU search on pink, I was returned 63 articles. So pink cannot be that bad. Not my first choice in the past, but I may reconsider on the evidence!
cadman
Yes there were many times when my wife out fished me. Even though we pretty much use the same tackle and all. I do believe that women have a very different touch when it comes to reeling in line with a crankbait, or when fishing a jig on the bottom for walleye. I will say that I do extrememly well on the Wisconsin River, for walleye and sauger on a pink jig. For some reason that color works there. I also believe that walleye and sauger are very color concious. But that is as far as my pink connection goes on my fishing rod. My wife fishes a pink worm, and recently I made her a pink c******bait. I just can't see myself coming into a weigh-in with a tackle box full of pink lures and stuff. What do you think the guys would think? It's one thing to catch fish on it, but I never have except for the pink jig. So pink, bubble gum pink or whatever shade of pink, will be left to my wife. It's safer that way.
Ogajiga
Our local TV fishing host used to say "any color works as long as its black". And the overwhelming choice for Hilo Bay papio runs is clear glitter twisters. Around 10 years ago I mail ordered some blue pearl/pink pearl lam color "dos" and found they worked great. Then tried some blue pearl and pink pearl single color baits & found the pink pearl better. Then got some hot pink "Spike it" dye and really started getting some action on our ocean coastlines. So, thanks "cadman" and all others with pink issues for making my secret lures possible. Don't know if I should ask, but what is a c******bait? Now, of the thousands(?) of TU members only one is beautiful?

Now, of the thousands(?) of TU members only one is beautiful? Dampeoples is correct. C******bait, stands for Chatterbait. It was a big seller here about six months or so ago. Everyone was making them, since the original manufacturer couldn't keep up with the demand. Then all or some of the guys that were selling them on the i-net, got letters from the lawyers of the chatterbait company, to cease and de-sist on making copies of supposedly their idea. I only made a couple for myself and my wife. So you will see a lot of threads about it on TU. Then everything went silent. However, they still sell copies in Bass Pro Shops, and other fine tackle shops.
