longhorn
My friend found this little scoop at a local scrapbooking store. It works great for glitter and powders. I'm assuming it's available at craft stores etc. Y'all probably already have these but I'd never seen one this small.
clemmy
Looks Good! Another option is available at Wal-Mart. It's in with the regular measuring spoons in the kitchen asile, but they are tiny like above and labled "pinch", "dab" etc.... bojon
Nice scoop! For years I used a small plastic hair roller retainer, shaped like a very shallow spoon.Worked great, but I lost them,so I'm using a small craft stick, and it works fair.Looking for the retainers in the hair roller section.A lady friend said they had them at the Dollar store, but no luck so far. Joe S.
I bought a set of plastic measuring "scoops" at Target for about $2 The set has about five sccoops from 1/8 tsp to 1 tbl That's what I use, the little measuring sppons, that way I get the exact amount, so the glitter is consistent in every batch
Smallie
I found the plastic spoons developed static electricity and the glitter tended to stick to the spoon. Not the whole load but a fair amount. You have to wipe out the excess or you get traces in your next batch that isn't supposed to have that color. Stainless steel is much better. The stainless smidgen, pinch and dash ones are great for Hi-lites. I also have a stainless steel set with 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 tsp plus a tablespoon. These stainless steel sets are available in a number of places and you can get both for under ten dollars.
Joe S.
I guess I'm lucky as I haven't ran into any problems with the glitter sticking to the plastic spoon, after I dump it in the pan, I just give it two or three taps on the side of the pan and it's empty.
