JMBass
Looking for some help identifying a wood bait that I bought a while back, I would like to pick up several more if possible. Seller told me it was a WEC Zoom bait, but it has no markings or Ed Chambers' signature on the lip. It very closely resembles a WEC Zoom Wobbler (which is no longer in production) both in shape and lip desgn, but it is slightly bigger than the Zoom Wobbler (see pics below - wobbler is white/brown and mystery lure is shad color). Any help in identifying this lure would be much appreciated, and if you can help me get a few more there will be a generous finders fee . Thanks in advance all. blackjack
I would say without a doubt Dale is right, It most definetly is a Zoom Bait, Ed Chambers has more baits in his arsenal than anyone I know in the business. He makes baits for his pro-staff guys that the normal everyday fisherman has never seen.
Palmetto Balsa
Item number: 110197797907 Item number: 110197800148 Take a look at these 2 on that place where people look for hard to find tackle. (ending soon) I spoke with Eddie Chambers yesterday and he said the best place to purchase current baits is online from BubbaJacks.
JMBass
Just to clarify, by Seller I meant the person who sold the lure to me, not "Dale Sellers". Thanks for the replys so far.
benton B
I've never heard/seen of bait that Mr. Chambers made without his name on it. My guess is that it's a copy someone has made.
baitmaker2
Good looking baits and they do look a lot like Chambers line but I think these are copies of some of his baits especially if they are not marked.
smirkplug
Isn't that a Bagleys Balsa 'B' or killer "B' or somthing ?
benton B
I'd almost bet money that's a copy of a zoom wobbler. It's a little taller and longer which happens when you make a copy of a bait on a copy machine. Is the original zoom bait in the pic in the chocolate shad pattern? JMBass
Is the original zoom bait in the pic in the chocolate shad pattern? Yes, I think that color is chocolate shad. Anyone have a lure close to this one, or could you make one? Blackjack, how close is your nomad wobbler to the tenn. shad lure in the pic (lip and body style) ? thanks
