alsworms
Hey Guys, Forgive me for barging into the wire baits forum (I know nothing about making spinnerbaits ), but I just had to say that I got a couple of Celtic's spinnerbaits, namely the Seeker Shad, and "Impressed" is not nearly a good enough word to describe it. They are simply PERFECT!! Beautiful, flawless work to say the least. Thanks again Jim for sending those. Now to break down and get 'em wet Chris
Celticav
Thanks man, I feel the same way about your plastics, JIM
BassnG3
How about a picture so we all can check it out! Celticav do you paint blades?? I am looking for something close to the old Stanley firecracker shad colored blades (blue fire tiger). BassnG3
Celticav
I have one posted int the gallery here at TU the link is: http://www.tackleunderground.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=30 It has "tweaked" blades and will catch fish about anywhere there are shad or shiners for forage. I do occassionally paint a blade or two, but just for personal use, I believe those blades you mentioned are still in production, check Hagen's, JIM

Celticav
I am still trying different types of the reflective tape, the hologram scales and the hologram dots are my favorite, JIM
Littlebear
Celti, good looking spinnerbait.. are you tying the body of the muskie spinner with a coil keel weight.. Littlebear
Big Splash
Hey Jim; I know you made that one to imitate shad, but it will work wonders when the salmon smolts are moving out to sea from the rivers. Check out the gallery, or my web site for big Bull Trout caught that way.
Celticav
Littlebear, I am not tying it at all, I buy the skirts that way and I only make them in 1/4 - 3/4 oz weight heads. Splash, glad they work up there too! JIM
Big Splash
Little Bear; I tie the muskie spinnerbaits in the gallery-Bucktail ones, if that's what you mean. They are a standard round coil bucktail, as the spinner's body acts as the keel.
Littlebear
Big splash, I was looking at the link in the forth post down.. they are bent like a saftypin type but are bucktail baits.. since it had the saftypin top I was wondering if whoever made them used a round coil weight or a keel weight coil.. both may work but I figured a keel coil may be a little more stable I make all kinds of spinnerbaits but I got to say I have never made any just like that..now here a a littledifferent twist
Big Splash
Ok we are all mixed up! those bucktails in the link that Celti put up are by Divani. Mine are the ones with the painted body.
