bhorlings
Okay so I made my first pour. How long does it take for a stik bait to setup? I am not sure if I heated it up long enough because I added salt and color so I couldn't see it turn clear. Any help would be beneficial. BassnRandy
Shouldn't take long. I pour mine and as soon as i can touch the pour spout with out it being sticky i demold. Usually a minute or two unless I am pouring a lot and the mold heats way up.
bhorlings
I figured out my formula was wrong. I did not put enough plastic in. I read the cup wrong. Do you know how I can clean out my mold now?
BassnG3
Is it a gooey mess now? If so just pour some salt on it and wipe it out.
bhorlings
Thanks... I will try that tomorrow. I was trying to figure out how to clean that up. Any advice on how to make some super software plastic usable again? I have about two cups worth sitting around that just will not set up. Should be able to add a little hardener, mix it well, and you're good to go. Hardener can be purchased at MF or Lure Craft. Not sure if Del sells it. jmik26
One of two things might have happened. Plastic was not mixed enough or it was not heated long enough. While your still in the learning curve stage you might want to just heat the plastic with nothing in it. This way you can see how it transforms from milk to transparent. Once its clear then add you color, glitter, salt, scent, etc.... This is something that I put together a while ago, might help a little I would first off like to thank everybody at TU for there contributions.
