tubinator
Some starter kits start as low as $29. Very basic worm kit. You can look at Lurecraft, m-f-manufacturing, and del-mart molds. That should help.Be very, very careful, it's highly addictive.
pastorshane
Thats the truth! I see soft plastic baits in my sleep! I'm an addict. If you buy,a kit you will still need a microwave/stove, glasscups/aluminum, and some small odds and ends. If you start you will love it, do be careful! BassnRandy
I was just thinking about how much I have spent on this addiction. I would think if you just want to test the water you could get yourself your first fix $50-$60 bucks. I would go to Lurecraft; get a pint of plastic a mold or two a couple of colors of dye and glitter. Steal a pyrex cup from your wife or fork out $5 for one at walmart. A microwave and your set. You can probably now make a hundred baits. Buy the right 2-3 colors of dye and you could make several colors. Ah hell: spend a hundred just to be safe. Get a gallon of plastic because once you start you will eat a pint up in a few hours and then you have to waite on the mail again for the gallon you should have bought in the first place. bojon
I have been hooked on soft plastics for 50 years. There is no cure.I would have it no other way.It is a great hobby, and a learning process.ENJOY!!!
SwampBaits
Del-Mart has some nice kits on his site. It all depends on how much money you want to throw on the table. $100 can get you a very nice kit. If you have $200 then you have some even nicer options. Beware though, you will go through your first gallon of plastic quickly as you play around!! I'm sure a couple weeks after you start you will be eye balling the 5 gallon jugs! BASSV18
I started about 3 months ago for about $175 didn't buy a starter kit just got what I have read about. It will be cheaper to get a fry daddy and a stainless steel liquid spout, drill and tap the bottom of the daddy so you can screw the spout in the bottom but be careful not to drill the elements you have to drill toward the side almost in the curve of the daddy. It is true that a gallon will only make you mad it is very addictive, I would look into 2.5 gallon or 5 gallon best of luck have a great time!!!!!!!!!
