robbor
Where do you guys buy MF plastic from, hopefully cheaper than direct?
Tubeman
Robbor, I don't think its cheaper anywhere else. I think Barlow's sells it in smaller quantites. I tested some last week and it is as good as everyone on the boards has said. Not much smell and very clear on initial pours, pot times (the lenght of time the plastisol stays clear while heated) are relevant to the amount of extra heat stabilizer you add. Calhoun, while slightly cloudy in colour will stay clear as long with the proper additives.

pastorshane
Zeiners bass shop sells it for 39.99 a gallon and carry all 3 kinds. They ship fast to where I live. But I may have to order in 5 gallon soon.
Richard Prager
You can get 5 gallons for $100 from M-F
pastorshane
Yep, thats what I plan on doing! Thanks.
Richard Prager
If you do get the 5 gallon container from M_F, a good idea is to get the spigot that screws in. It can be used over and over again. It's about $3.00. Also if you need color or flake, order it with the plastic. They will toss it in the same box so you can avoid extra shipping charges. They will also send highlight powder samples along. Sometimes they send it automatically, sometimes they don't. But you can send a little note along when you order to make sure. wrm-n
Save the 5 gallon bucket (the ones that stack) till you get 12 then start buying 55 gal drum. The price drops a bunch.
printertom
Thats what i'm doing i have 5 containers so far i think by the time i get there i'll be ready to order the 55 drum the price on M-F is worth it the best i think no glubby mess on the bottom and it stay the same 5gal. jug after 5gal. jug. thomas

robbor
Any idea how much of a discount the give if you have a business lic?
alsworms
Any idea how much of a discount the give if you have a business lic? Things may have changed, but it didn't matter when I purchased from them (or any other plastic manufacturer). What gets the discount is large purchases......with or without the license.
