Elken
I have the Erie-style and the Walleye style with eye sockets. What sizes of jigheads and types of hooks are you looking at? I usually do powder paint. You can contact me at: sday@speedyquick.net Pictures are available on my website: http://www.elkenlures.com
Mac10
Check out the Cabela's online store, also go to a Cabelas if you have one nearby.....best place I've found for round head jigs with a selection of hook sizes. I was informed that the store may not carry the same as the catalog, or the catalog and online catalog may also vary....but overall you still get some choice. I paint my own two ways....1 is powder paint and 2 is using nail polish over acrylic craft paint. Much cheaper if you paint your own. Spike-A-Pike
Bgcountry00, If I remember, your in Minnesota, right? Stamina is located in Brooklyn Park, MN - if that's close to you might want to drop in see them. Bruce
LedHed
For jigs, talk to the people at Tight Line Anglers Products (ad is under TU sponsor). You might want to try powder painting spoons – dayooper has an excellent “how to” tutorial on his web site.

Spike-A-Pike
Bgcountry00, You might look at Stamina, but they get expensive pretty quick too. http://www.upnorthoutdoors.com/stamina/spinnerbait_heads/muskiehead.html http://www.upnorthoutdoors.com/stamina/spinnerbait_heads/minnospin.html You may want to start getting the different supplier catalogs on hand. VARick
Also try posting in the wire baits section. I've purchased some jigs from the guys here. Great price. I wasn't looking at the quantity you are. Perhaps someone there can help you out. Rick
bgcountry00
concerning the different suppliers besides jans, barlows, and stamina who else is there. I have been looking to buy wholesale and cannot find others
Spike-A-Pike
Two ideas: 1) try these guys http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/ 2) check some the web sites attached to the various TU members, some of these guys are pretty impressive. The thing is, just like you, these folks are looking at the going rate for goods and services. The one way to under cut the middle man is to consider how to remove the "need" for the various goods and services and make them in-house. Look around your local area and see if a small investment in molds and a melting pot is worth while. My son, a 28 yr old prior service marive, looves to shoot black powder and is pretty competative about it. Average weekend, he shoots around 200 .50 cal bullets. He found out that most of the tire shops in northern Wisconsin will give you the wheel wieghts to get rid of the lead. Other guys started asking for "his" lead and when he found alot of his sources also were into black powder, he added extra pours to protect his source. Have you had that conversation with the local tire shops in your area??? Bruce
