IamSpartacus
I've seen a couple baits in the gallery with a custom bent lexan lip. One of them even had a jitterbug type lip. Has anybody done this/ have any advice on how to do that. Thanks, Mike

hazmail
Mike that post is pretty long winded, but it works, since then I have made a small former or press (brass tubing) with which I make all my lips now. I will post another way of hot bending (for r/ angle bends etc) soon, I just have to take some pictures, as you can see from that old post, I can type all day and it just confuses everyone. pete

HAWGHUNNA
Hello Pete, In the photo...on the thread that ernel shows above...where did to get the harness that you have in the crank bait shown there? It looks like copper was used,I'm thinking of using the same type harness...maybe stainless in some poly cranks.Just wandering where to get my harnesses stamped out at once I have models for the different cranks. Hawghuua The hook hanger is made of brass (1mm), I had a die made about 20 years ago and had about 3000 stamped out- very strong and they add some weight. I used to sell lures back then.pete
hazmail
Ah thanks guys! Looking forward to the pictures. Try This I have been playing with these for a while now; you need a variable heat model, which most of them are. As I have said in a previous post (3 months back) I initially knocked off my daughter

shadrap1769
If you are looking to do a simple, flat bend, a small sheet metal brake will work. That's what I use when building lexan RC bodies.
