flippinfool
Great hooks. Like them better than the gami or owner hooks for small stuff. #6,4,2,1 are super strong and a good barb. I use a 32746BLN from barlows. 1/0 or better I use a gami.
robbor
Im so on the fence on going black or red. In my Gama catfish hooks I only go black because I believe the finish is stronger and the red one look terrable after you throw then in the water and rocks a few times even if you dont hatch a fish. Have you used the reds? There for crappie jigs and am going to be trying to use 6,8,10 for all sizes.
cadman
robbor, I don't know if those hooks come in bright nickle or gold, but if they do, you can dip the hooks in red dye,and bake them. It will last just as long as the store bought ones, and then you can re-dip tham as needed, with-out buying red hooks? Just a thought. Ogajiga
I know old timers like em, but my last batch of #6 32755 reds were dull pointed. Noticeably softer wire than the 32746 too, despite the "extra strong" claim. Yes the red finish wears off pretty easily on both styles, but I think the 32746R is gold underneath which is a good color for crappie fishing? BLN of course is a tougher finish. Personally, I prefer the VMC 9147 Needle Points in the smaller #6, 8, & 10 sizes. Cheaper than Ultra Points at Shortys and just as sharp & strong.
