woodsac
Well it was getting too cold to pour in the garage, so I moved it inside. Pretty simple setup. I just attached a 30" range hood to a couple of 2x4's, ran an exhaust tube to a piece of plywood, and siliconed the plywood into the window seal and frame area. It's nice knowing that I pour whenever I want without being hot or cold. The fan sucks out all the fumes. I tacked a piece of window screen around the vent outside to keep all the little critters out. It works great! Now I just need another table and some drawers so I can bring the rest of my supplies in from the garage.
kidlizard
Thats the same thing we did, and it has totally improved the pouring experience. The only thing different is, I didnt have a window in the shed so I just ducted straight out the back. I used floor register that opens and closes for the outside and it also works great. I strongly recommend anyone who pours alot to do this. It works very well, and the cost is pretty low considering what the long term effects of breathing these fumes could be. I guess we will know for sure its bad when all the plastic guys start poping out extra appendages Woodsac, with all those supplies I see, I think its time you bought a production pot. You wont be sorry, and while your at it buy 2 because you are going to wish you had 10. They change the pouring experience as much or more than the ventilation. Good looking setup man.
