skeeterjeff
Anyone know where to purchase the material used to make the jig on the picture that is attached? It is square, not round and this jig is for big fish. It is probably 6 to 7 inches long. Each strand is bigger than a number 2 pencil lead. Thanks in advance for any ideas. GASMAN
I know where some of this brown rubber is. It comes in a single strand on a spool. You have to buy 1 1/3 pounds of it. I believe it is $24.99 + $5.30 to ship. I have used this before, just wrap it around a piece of cardboard until you get the number of tails you need and cut. Use a skirt making tool and a collar or just tie it on the jigs.

I have been using the bigger round rubber in "mop" type jigs but would be interested in knowing how the big square stuff works out.

bassrecord
Can you tell me where to purchase the large round rubber for the mop jigs Living Rubber.com has stopped importing large (1/16") but they did have some leftover colors they were trying to get rid of. Does anyone know where to get 1/16", 3/32" and 1/8" square or round rubber, katex or any similar material. It was possible to get black silicone hose in these ODs but they have a $300 order minimum. I'm looking for white and black. Any help will seriously be appreciated. Thanks. John

Seeking 56
If you remove the threads from those round bungee tie down straps (cord) with the metal hooks on each end, you will find the rubber strands you're looking for. s54 Edited September 14, 2008 by seeking
bassrecord
If you remove the threads from those round bungee tie down straps (cord) with the metal hooks on each end, you will find the rubber strands you're looking for. I used to get cords there but not in the last 2-3 years. Every one nowadays seems to have slit bicycle tires for guts. If you have a brand or source that has 1/16", 3/32" or 1/8" I'd appreciate a contact. Thanks.
Munkin
I tried some round brown rubber I found on ebay. The stuff really flares out but I do not care for it at all! Too much memory. Allen
