I told Dino this story other day and I think he got a kick out of it...So I thought I would share this lesson with all of you.

HEY FORREST!!! YOUR RIGHT!!!

The Rookie's Christmas Story.

My brother in law is a big guy. But his heart is even bigger.. anyway. He goes over to his Dad's on Christmas eve for the normal gift exchange. As the gifts are being passed out. Big Ben gets his annual gift from his father.

Weight has always been a problem for him but he doesnt let it get him down. As he is opening the gift. To his surprize its a box of chocolates.. He looks at my sister with dissappointment and says.."WHY THE HE_L would my Dad get me of all people a box of Chocolates." "He knows I hate Chocolate" He says thanks Dad and puts on a fake grin as he lays the box to the side...Ben's father never tells him to open the box and just says your welcome son.

The next day.. Its time for Christmas at My Sisters house. I have 3 Sisters and my Sister from Texas fly's in without a gift for our father. She asks Ben what should she get our Dad (BEN's FATHER IN LAW) for christmas.. Ben, in the giving spirit decides to give away his only gift from his father and hands over the Chocolates... "Here Steph he says.. give your Dad's these..HE LOVES Chocolates I know he will like it.. and I dont really want them."

Later that night its time for the gift exchange and Dad opens up Steph's gift...Ben was right!!! DAD LOVED THE Chocolates so much he had to open them up and have just one..... TO his surprize... HE FOUND A CITZENS WATCH in the box and was kinda upset their were no chocolates!!!!!! I wish I had a picture to show yall the expression on Ben's face when Dad put on BEN's watch!!!

It looked alot like this!! :(:cry:

To this day Dad.. who has a good sense of humor still thinks STEPH got him a Citzens watch!!!

Ok to the MORAL!!! IM SURE YOU CAN FIGURE OUT THIS ONE

"LIFE's LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES!! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING TO GET"

Add your regift story!! Im sure yall have one.

we travel to indiana for a few days over xmas and stay with my parents to visit and hit all the various family christmas get-togethers. My wife and I do our gift exchange with my parents on christmas eve night after church.

This year, my wife noticed a horseshoe set that we got my Dad last year for xmas - it was sitting under the sink in the laundry room un-opened, still in the plastic. While at church we told my grandma this and she said "Well... you should wrap it up and give it to him again." My wife and i locked eyes and instantly knew it had to be done. So when church got out we raced home to beat my parents and i went scrambling through the house to find wrapping paper, tape and scissors for my wife. We found it and the wife did a quick wrap right before my parents walked in the door.:yay:

On to the gift exchange... my dad opened the set, looked at it, looked at us... looked confused... looked at it again and i finally broke it to him that maybe he should've opened it. My mom and wife were rolling on the floor laughing....

But its not over yet... oh no... 2 more presents from my Mom and he opens a nice leather wallet that she gave him 2 years ago and never used and the other being a nice golf polo, tags still on it that he got for father's day....:lol: best part was we had no idea she was doing this so it was totally unplanned.

Merry christmas everybody.
