wantsome
I'm looking to find a certain color ab color paint. I've seen it on several lures but I don't know who makes it. Heres a pic the color it is on the upper shoulder behind the gill of this lure. It looks goldish green. I belive it may be a taxadermy paint. http://www.tackleunderground.com/photos/index.php?n=1540 Is this a polytranspar paint? Any help would be much appreciated. Spike-A-Pike
Wantsome, Have you ever listened to the Bob & Tom radio show? They have a character called "Mr. Obvious” that helps the “caller” figure out the obvious. So, did you contact (PM) csob3 and ask who makes the paint and what the color is called? Just thought a direct approach might work best.
wantsome
I thought a PMing him but I didn't want to seem intrusive. I've been on some forums where poeple get up tight about privite messages. Mostly websites from over seas. Guess I've been hanging out there too much. Thx for the help I'll drop him a line and ask. Spike-A-Pike
Com'on, The gents on this site seem to have a sense of fellowship not found on most of the inter-web. The posts I read here are great, and I try to give what I've got. Sometimes, the best I can offer is something to laugh at. Please don't sell the members of TU short. Vodkaman
I have to agree with Bruce. The PM system is there to be used. Never had a negative word back regarding PM's from anyone. One or two did not reply, but that is OK. I've even had to create a folder to store the back-ups in, won't tell you how many! It saves a lot of the chit-chat clogging up some of the posts, although I have clogged a few recently myself, I'm doing it again, damn! Basseducer
Well, while everyone is in a caring, loving and sharing mood can anyone tell me where I can find those little stands that everyone displays their crankbaits on. Thanks TJ
philB
Hi Wantsome I cant tell you which or what specific paint that is but that type of finish can be attained by laying a base coat of metalic followed by a transparent colour, in that case it may be green over silver the depth of colour being governed by the amount of top coat. philB
Vodkaman
Basseducer, not sure, but I think they are hand made. I would PM directly to the owner of the stands that you like.
