basskat
Where can I find a tube mold? I've had several calls for them but can't find a mold. Someone sent some nice ones in the swap, so someone out there has one.

earthworm77
Were those Swap tubes poured or dipped? There is a big difference.
alsworms
Hey Craig, What's the difference between the two? I know nothing about pouring/dipping tubes. Chris
Tubeman
All the tubes I sent to the swap were dipped. The big diff is the amount of plastic you need to dip vs Del's tube mold ( which is poured and requires only a small amount of plastic). You still have to cut the tails on both versions, its the most time consuming part of manufacturing. To dip tubes you need at least a gallon of plastic and that doesnt go that far. Del's method, although slower, is by far the most cost effective way to make tubes and they turn out great every time....unlike dipping, were you need alot of practice to consistantly turn out a good looking product. Whos Craig ?
alsworms
Hi Mike, Thanks for the info. Your tubes that I got in the swap were AWESOME!! Craig is Earthworm. I can't keep all the names straight. Chris
Tubeman
Thanks Chris, I think I was a bit confused, you were typing to Craig, who I didnt know was earthworm...no problem I am still waiting to see those baits, it takes about 2 weeks for anything to get here from the U.S. these days...I'm a patient man
Big Splash
Yes, still waitin'.....I've been ice fishing a few times already. Maybe I'll give some of those baits a try under the ice!

Mercury
Man I cant believe it takes that long for things to get to you guys. Tubeman
Thanks Craig, I have have lots of success with these. We make them from a small 1 1/2 "crappie tubes all the way up our 5 " Salty Monster thats 3 " in circumferance. I cant wait until I get my 5 gallon capacity hot pot from Ritehete, that should speed up production
Tubeman
Merc, even with UPS, what take a few days to travel to you from lets say California, easily takes twice that. Like I said, I'm patient and have been doing alot of deer hunting....bass fishing is done up here around mid October.
basskat
I think I'll have to go with the pour mold. Not sure my demand is that high at this time to dip. Tubes are not real popular in this area. For some reason our fish don't care that much for them. Everyone tried them when they first came out and we just haven't caught that many fish on them. Seems like our fish preferr the "big bubba" baits.
Big Splash
Tubes are not that popular up here either, but I took some out ice fishing yesterday, and everyone was catching Eastern Brookies. One was near 3 lbs., and several broke off 10 lb test line! These were left overs from Pink Salmon fishing. The Pinks love 'em. One day I caught and released about 40 nice Pinks on one single tube! I was out-fishing everyone! I passed around a few tubes and soon everyone was hooked up! Doing my best to change fishers attitude towards plastics! B and D Lures
Del, I went to your site to look at the tube molds that you make, however, there were none. I am interested in buying one, but I would like to see it and how it works. Can you send me a picture and a few words at Macha07@aol.com? Thanks
