JDBaits Posted December 29, 2007 Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 Im looking at placeing an order with lurecraft in the next day or so, can anyone suggest what colors to buy so i can make a laminate close to the smoke shad tiki sticks? Im thinking straight minnow silver for the belly then some minnow silver with a few drops of black and some silver, gun metal and black glitter for the top. MDC Posted December 29, 2007 Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 I don't have a recipe, but sounds like what you are planning will get you darn close. Maybe try the back without the silver first, then if you need it you can always add it. I'm not sure about LC colors, but with MF, 2 drops of black per oz makes a nice smoke and probably 3-4 drops per oz for the silver. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
alsworms Posted December 29, 2007 Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 I'm with MDC. I don't think you need to use minnow silver for the back. Smoke (and your glitter) should work just fine. On the belly though....... could just be my monitor, but it looks like it has a blue tint to it. If so, I'd add a very small amount of blue hi-lite to your minnow silver.
