Markell
I want to add orange glitter to my brown powder paint. Should I add it directly to the brown powder or mix it with the clear powder for a top coat? What brand of glitter should I look for? Thanks
siebler_custom_baits
I have also been wondering about this but now have found through i think barlows, a clear overcoat with glitter in it. it is made by protec and is called proflake or something like that. Celticav
The proflake works great, just make sure your bait is really heated up because you dip it in the flake after the powder, JIM
Tally
Did Proflake come out with a orange glitter clearcoat? I have been using a salt shaker to get an orange speckled effect on brown jigs. They look good, but it is a lot of trouble. Tally
brian ranger619
heres a tip on powder painting. go to wally world and get a cheap small strainer about the 1 cup size. put you paint jar under the strainer and spoon in about 1 teaspoon, heat your jig and dip the first color, then tap the strainer lightly this will get you a nice even coat for you seconed color the strainers are about a buck each they are a fine mesh, perfect for doing this. get rid of the old salt shaker. see ya!! brian
