willie525
who makes a good pouring kit for someone who has no experience?
TTDuckman
I would first decide if you are wanting to make 1 sided or full round baits and go from there. For 1 sided baits, Lurecraft makes a nice kit with the use of their silicone molds. If you are wanting to make full round baits, Del's kit is very good. As others have probably warned you, this is very addictive (read "like crack") and you will likely be getting far more supplies over time than you figured you would. A kit is a good way to start. Other than figuring out how to properly mix colors, salt, flake, scent and cooking the plastic, a senko type bait is extremely easy to pour and is a great start in point. JDBaits
I went with del when i got started and soon gave it up, it wasent till a buddy turned me on to lurecraft products that i picked the hobby up again. Del does offers a great product but it is geared more for the proffesional bait maker in my oppion. Lurecrafts kit offers 6 diffrent mold cavities, pouring pans and basic colors for cheap and it produces nice baits that do catch fish. If I had to do it all over again id get the lurecraft kit, then switch to Dels products when you feel your ready to step your game up a bit
willie525
hm but i think with dels you can pick the colors and glitter, but not with lurecraft. but the lurecraft comes with scent(i think), but i can buy from somewhere around here, im not sure
Poor Boy's Woman
Anyone buying a kit from us is welcome to exchange colors or scents if they wish to. They need to tell us when they place an order. We just put the basic color in.
outdooradvantage
I bought a stick kit from Dels and I just love it came with everything I need to make perfect baits. And honestly the price was very fair. You can always add more molds if you want from Lurecraft or wherever you want.
