LooksLikeSinbad
I will be taking a family vacation in Ft. Lauderdale Feb. 13 - 20th. I am planning to sneak off for a day on Okeechobee. If any of you have a boat and room for a partner I would love to fish with you one day - I'll bring lunch, pitch in for gas, etc. If anyone doesn't have a boat, but knows the area and would like to split a boat rental that would work too. PM me.

Hooked Solid
The Big O is crazy Low water levels right now.Without good knowledege of the lake running a rental might be a tough deal. You'd be limited to the rim canal which may not be a bad thing. I'd research other options,They will probably be in full blown spawn or just post on the stick marsh with this cold snap. Not much of a difference in travel either. Braided Line
Can`t help you on Okeechobee or the Stick Marsh. Have fished The Big "O" many a time and the Stick Marsh a few times. Great places! Have you thought about getting a guide? Beats staying at the hotel or where ever. Just a thought. If you ever make it to Orlando to visit "Mickey" send me a PM. Always nice to take an out-of-stater fishing. Besides it saves a whole lot on gas.
