lunker05
Hello all, I sure could use some advice. I am looking for a good clear coat to put onto a buzzbait. It is a poured head with createx paint. I am not sure if I need the devcon or if I can just spray on some dick nites. I was trying to get away from a drying wheel so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
bladesandbaits
I use PPG DC4125 Ceramiclear. It's expensive--- $200 a gallon but will rival any cleacoat on the market. Shoot it thru an air brush No turning on a drying wheel. It sets pretty quick " no runs- no drips" so just hang it and let it dry. clamboni
Thin coats no wheel needed. I do my spinnerbait heads with 2T and don't use the wheel. As long as it's thin it won't sag. And you can do a ton of them in one small batch. Although if you have some dick nites that'll be fine too.
Palmetto Balsa
Blades, Is the PPG DC4125 a one part clear or 2 part? I checked the website and it said it is formulated to use with the DCH4126 Hardener. If a hardener is used, what kind of pot life does it have? BobP
If you already have Dick Nite, just dip it in and hang it up, repeat after 24 hrs and let it cure for 4-7 days before fishing.
