Delw
OK guys after looking at this thread I tried something and it worked pretty good I took a small funel that will fit in the mold and poured 2 colors in at once and had pretty good results. Thats what worked, there was a post along time ago about that ( early days of TU and tacklemaking.com). Chris from al's worms might remember the guy who tried it. I been racking my brain for months trying to remember how one of my customers did that , then you posted. The baits came out very nice also and it was easier to pour to colors in a big funnel from 2 pots/pyrex cups . Good thinking. Delw
bhorlings
What kind of funnel was it? What is metal?
bhorlings
Do you think something like this might work? You could get some wicked four color swirls if you used a funnel and the two part pot setup. I believe the opening on the bottom of this one is 3/8". Delw
What kind of funnel was it? What is metal? Yes it was a alum funnel, if I remember correctly he cut a piece of metal to fit inside of it then riveted in there.
nova
Wouldn't the funnel spout clog up with the cooling plastic? Seems like that would be a pain. www.novalures.com
Delw
Wouldn't the funnel spout clog up with the cooling plastic? Seems like that would be a pain.www.novalures.com Not really as the funnels are pretty much paper thin and being alum they ill get hot fast. Dink Master
JB Welded aluminum divider into cup. Working well in microwave so far. New picture of Brown & Orange Stick Baits.
pastorshane
Dink, how is that cup holding up in the micro wave.
hawghunterbaits
Yes a small metal funnel does work great! If you can get someone to hold it for you so it does not touch the mold it works even better. Hum with a divided cup and a funnel, should be able to pour 4 colors at once, might be very interesting! pastorshane
No, I split the cup like Dink did, I used aluminum roofing flange as divider. Thanks for the compliments. Shane
braveviper
I divided a cup with plexiglass.I used silicone to fix it.I was warned it would warp from the heat and I admit it is warping at the bottom..However the plastics still do not touch each other. If it starts leaking into each other Ill just change the divider.
