Legendary
I thought it would be fun to reminisce a little and ask you guys what your favorite soft bait was that nobody/or not to many people make anymore. Mine is and probably always will be Cr

MDC
There were 3 of us and none of us would show up to the ponds without Slug-O's and Sassy Shads and Mister Twister grubs. H&H spinnerbaits too, but they had to be mixed with the worms and bobbers for a while before they turned to "soft plastic"
Hooked Solid
Mine would be the 5 1/2" Manns Shadow white glimmer ,before they changed the plastic formula and ruined the bait. It used to be alot more dense and rigid where you could manipulate it on the hook to create different action. They made it too soft and it just doesn't work now.Bass of all species would crush that bait,I dream of owning a couple 100 pks ...><>...HS
nova
I agree Hookedsolid. Mine was the black over gold. Caught the biggest smallie I've ever hooked; 23 1/2"; prefishing for a tourny in the early 90's. Then like you said, they changed it all. I really don't know why folks always try to "fix" something that already works. Berkley does it also. Oh well; it leaves the door open for us, lol. www.novalures.com
Norway pike
Mine would be the Vibrax shad with it's own "standup" jig head. Was that lure sold in Amerika? It was a killer on pike and zander in norway.
santeerangerman
Mister Twister Thundertail in 7.5" That thing was killer on Santee and Murray. It had a large dia body, about the size of a 9" jelly worm, and a ribbed curly tail very similer to a big dead ringer. I've been gluing the tails off the dead ringers to the body of a jelly worm. I need to get a mold made like that...
BassnRandy
Ugly bugs, fuzzy grubs and the Blue Fox Vibrax were what i cut my river teeth on. I havn't seen an ugly bug in 15 years.
Coosa Redeye
Mann's Auger-SNAKE. This was the best topwater soft plastic that I ever used. Grassbeds during the spring and summer almost guaranteed sore shoulders. Coosa
texasbass1
Gator tail worms. They may still be made but I haven't found them
squigster
Mine was a bait called the Crawwalker produced by Feature Lures. I have about 100 left in different colors but cannot find them anywhere. Absolute killer dock bait. I was like a small spider jig with its own skirt that you could adjust the sprial diameter by its tail placement on the jig head barb. I tried making a mold of it but its too complicated because of its odd shape.
