JDBaits
Where can you buy these at? I found mine at Publix (our local grocery chain) it was stashed away with the anchor mesureing supplies
GB44
Is there a spout to pour out of? Or does the plastic flow smoothly for some reason?
JDBaits
no spout to pour out of but its the smoothest pouring cup/glass ive found so far. I only pour with the glass 1/4 way full, Im thinking if you over fill it and your plastic flow starts before the glass is tilted 90 degrees itll dribble down the side of the glass
bigyen
I have been using Pyrex Beakers for a few months now for dipping swim baits a tubes. They work great in the microwave. I got mine a a local scientific supply store for around $6.00. Glenn
Delw
if they are not tempered DONT use them for plastic. Remember plastic gets 300-400 degrees water boils at

Smallie
I bought the ones pictured at the top of the thread at Walmart. The bar code said they were made by Anchor Hocking. They seem way too thin walled to be tempered. I use them to measure RTV.
Smallie
Then again Pyrex beakers are thin walled.

Spike-A-Pike
That may have to do with liability issues more than anything.
bigyen
Guys, Here is a link with some info on the type of beakers I have been using. I don't know if they are 100% safe but I have put 2 1/2 gallons of plastic through mine without any issues in the past few weeks. That said we all want to play safe, if anyone has more info I'd like to hear it. Glenn http://www.indigo.com/glass/beakers.html
charkins
I have been using pyrex beakers since I started pouring. They have a pouring spout and you can get some small details . Being a compounding pharmacist, I have used the beakers melting bases and drugs for years. They will stand the heat. A chemical warehouse or a compounding pharmacy would be a good place to get them. Remember to get pyrex. They are the best.
