ifishutah
I don't want to step into an area that would be taking money from somebody's business, but what exactly is the worm oil that I buy from Del and LC? Anyone willing to divulge??
nova
We had a big go round about that some months ago. If you do a search for worm oil I think you'll find all the answers. It's not that I don't want to say anything it's just that it was a large thread. www.novalures.com
ifishutah
I tried that, but the search feature disallows oil as a search word because there are so many instances. if someone can show me the thread i'd really appreciate it. Vodkaman
Search function is limited to minimum four character words. Try a search on worm.
Bogbaits
Use mineral oil,add your own choice of different scents:lol:
fish devil
Mineral oil will harden your baits over time. I wouldn't use it.
ifishutah
Yeah, I've read hundreds of threads and figured out what not to use. Thanks for the response.
Bogbaits
Over what period of time,I have baits from last year when I started using it and they are still soft as the day I made them, you need to keep them in an airtight container ,it also holds scent very well. TTDuckman
Mineral oil will not only harden baits over time, but will shrivel them up as well. Tim
bojon
My coffee scent is held in suspension by Canola oil.The Pam type spray also is made with the same stuff, and I use this to lub my dipping rods and tail cutter blades.I haven't noticed any problem. Bogbaits
You say mineral oil hardens your worms,I was wondering where I got all the extra stick baits LOL:teef:
fish devil
Besides it not being the correct oil to use IMO over the counter mineral oil is the wrong viscosity.

bojon
WD-40.My fishing partner sprays his lure just before casting with WD40.Would this work as a worm lub/scent on our tubes? It contains fish oil I think.
Bogbaits
I have used it for a while and I notice the worm seems to glide through the water better and It doesnt squeak as much, olive oil works better and when your done fishing you just toss them in a salad with some vinegar and your good to go.
