Matt Moreau
Hello, We have a jig out here in N Cali called the Wadda Jig. I want to know what style head this is as i really like it and want to get a mold that resembles it. This link says it is an arkie stlye, but i think it is flatter on the bottom than a true arkie. Any suggestions would be great! www.tackletour.com/reviewtntwadda.html
cadman
The only difference I see is the hook is not a flat eye like most of the Arkie jigs made. But molds can be modified to fit almost any style hook. It does look wider though based on the picture. Other than that, it looks like a true Arky to me. But I've never heard of the maker. Ogajiga
Never actually seen one, but could it be a Do-it Sparkie?

Basseducer
It looks like the Do-It Flippin Arky, it takes a 60 degree hook. Weedless Flipping Jig FLIP-3-AY TJ
flippinfool
That is a Do-It mold. ARK-3-AFC. The head is wider than standard arkie head.
cadman
That is a Do-It mold. ARK-3-AFC. The head is wider than standard arkie head. If that was a ARK-3-AFC, then they modified it for a different hook. The ARK-3-AFC takes a flat eye hook. It could be it's sister an ARK-3-AY which has the 60 degree bend hook. psv
It can be Gamakatsu Cobra Jig. I bought them from Netcraft. I painted them ( painting is ugly, but I'm learning ))) + Starflash skirt and jig was ready to fish.
Big-D
http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=6&Product_ID=1480&CATID=59 This is that jig. The 12oz is a little wider than the 1/4 & 3/8oz (either one pictured)- I have poured thousands of these as they are my go to jig for bass (3/8oz) Big-D
Matt Moreau
Wow... This is what makes this site great!!!! Thank you ALL! On another note what is the easiest way to paint them?
cadman
I use powder paint, and epoxy the weedguard after the jig has been baked in a toaster oven..
Matt Moreau
Ok bought the DO-IT ARKY from Barlows. Lets see how it looks! Thanks again for all the help!
Mr B
What that jig looks like is Bob Kornhousers old "Dee's Flippin Jig" that he manufactured under the R&B Tackle name. The orignal jig had a single Plastic Coated Sturgon Leader for a weedguard. This one has the fiber guard. The closest thing to that would be the Arkie. Ogajiga
Great, got the mold, now you need to figure what hooks to use. And hey all you old timers(?), I think its great to mention the makers of those classic lures and remember them with respect.
Matt Moreau
Ya... Im good friends with "Korny". It is similar but not quit the same. Ill see how i like this mold. I ordered Mustad because that seems to be the best hook for the money. I am going to get some of those Gamakatsu wid gaps though. Just want to puor a few first1
Mr B
Korny is a good guy. We fished together in an old bass club many years ago. You will love that mold. I throw the arkie 75% of the time when jig fishin'. Rest of the time its the Football. Try the Owners and Gammi's, you wont be dissapointed. rfdong
I don't think that's anything more than the standard Arky style from Do-it. The newer style is with the flat eye but I would recommend the flat eye. I think it comes through cover better (I think you're using at delta?) and doesn't roll as much coming through/over tules. Flat eye in my own opinion is a better design.
