icemanrrc
Hagen's, Worth or Lakeland? I remember it being discussed but my search did not find the thread.Allen All of those are good. Worth would be my pick of the three. Worth and Hildebrandt are in a world by themselves. My two cents.

TMI
Hi All...new here, but I hope you don't mind if I chime in with a humble opinion! I would actually have to say..it depends on what type of blade. I used to own a catalog business selling tackle making supplies (The business has since gone under...way under!). Anyway, we had many blades from all of the mfgs mentioned above (except Hil..), so I got to try out a bunch of different ones. Overall, Worth seemed to have the best finish, but Lakeland had the best weight/action/balance. That said, I was actually pretty surprised to see that the quality/balance/weight/etc varied pretty widely for each manufacturer, depending on what size/shape blade you had. My best advise would be to figure out the right sizing/shape for the blade you want to invest in, and then try out blades in that size/shape from a few of the manufacturers (you can often clip one off a commercial or handmade bait to test). Make sure you water test them! One that looks great may actually have an erratic vibration that doesn't match your wire material, etc. Anyway...hope that helps. If you have a specific shape/size in mind, go ahead and post it and I might be able to offer a better answer.

HookUp
In reading, it appears some vote for finish, some for balance and consistence of the blade. Am I reading this right?
JSC
Worth Old Company that knows their stuff. Several of the smaller suppliers buy from them. My 2 cents worth. JSC
