Gloomisman
when you guys pour these how do you keep them strait. i've tried the laying them flat. It works ok if you can lay them strait. i've found that if I let them cool in water they dont bend as bad. My question is how do you guys keep them straight and not get kinks in them? BTW I dont salt my finesse worms.
Delw
let them cool in the mold longer, or put them on a cookie sheet with very light use of worm oil. The worm oil will keep them from sticking and causeing a force bend so to speak)
maltrout
I just put them in a big bowl of cold water and they always come out just fine. Then I lay them straight on some paper towels and let them dry. They come out perfect every time.

TheRegulator
I saw someone post on here, they cut PVC tubing in half horizontally. They lined up a handful of the 'half' tubes and placed the baits in the pvc tube to dry. I haven't tried it yet, but seems like it would work like a charm! Smallie
I use pieces of plexiglass I scavanged from work. They are 1/2 inch thick and various sizes and shapes. They are broken windows from the gearcases of our machines. I would think thinner sections would work too. The flat side of the bait sticks to the smooth surface of the plexiglass. I put one end down on the plexiglass and extend the bait out straight. I was going to say stretch the bait out straight but you have to be careful not to pull too hard or you will elongate the bait. I don't use any oil. The plexiglass cleans very nicely with windex.
longhorn
I use fiberglass cafeteria trays...they work great as production trays and for mold making trays.
Joe S.
I have a large laminated table right behind my pouring table, I just remove them from the mold and lay them out straight on the table, I leave them there for 24 hours to completley cure before bagging. Never have any issues, also when you bag you want to try and keep them straight, if they sit in the bag in a ball for a long time they will get bent out of shape over time. If you take 1/2" pvc and cut it in half with a band saw then liquid nail those half pieces to a board it works great. Side view would look like this UUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
