hollywood100
I just finished a drying wheel and here is the question: I am wanting to epoxy coat my jigs and put them on the wheel. I tried using the florist type foam(the one they stick artificial flowers in)-I wrapped it in aluminium foil to keep it from shedding but it does not hold the hooks firm enough. How do you attach the jigs to a wheel? Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

hollywood100
thanks for the reply- I have alligator clips but they don't seem like they are holding enough. Anyway to "tighten" alligator clips?

Spike-A-Pike
I have seen a few wheels that use thick rubber bands conected by the tail and nose to the wheels. One had coffee cup hooks to hang the rubber bands on.
mikel7@mac.com
What Kind Of Motor Did You Use And How Big Around Is Your Wheel ? I Just Gotta Make One. I've Been Hangin Mine Upsidedown With Close Pins, It Works But Sometimes They Slip, ( Cheap Pins I Guess )
cadman
Hollywood, are you guys serious? A drying wheel for Jigs? Come on now. Actually I'm just kidding. I really never thought about it. It sounds like a good idea. However, when you do 200 jigs at a time, I think mine would be faster. I always stick the jigs in hook first in the styrofoam, so the jig doesn't fall over. Also with it shown like in the pics below, any and all epoxy will run down the hook shaft, and not bulge up, if you turned them upside down by the hook to dry. Below are some pics of what I do http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/cadman58/IMG_0316.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/cadman58/IMG_0315.jpg Moderators is this the correct way to use photobucket? If not delete my post, and I will have to re-do this the correct way. I don't want to take up TU's bandwidth. Thanks Ted

Another is to add using the global hyperlink (the icon just to the left of the picture icon in the Quick Reply box) around the photobucket URL, that way the photo will post with the text instead of having to click on the link... hollywood100
Thanks to everyone for the replies. Cadman, I ended up buying mini spring clamps at Home Depot today(.37ea.)- Brave viper's idea- and they work great. I can hang 24 jigs at a time on my wheel. I tried it this afternoon and it woked perfect. The attachment I made for my wheel is basically a dowel that attaches to the shaft of the motor with the spring clamps screwed on the dowel. When I need the wheel for crankbaits, the dowel slides off the motor shaft (4.8rpm) and my crankbait wheel slides on. Btw, my crankbait wheel is a electrical wire spool with dowels and alligator clips.
