Spike-A-Pike
Those look very nice, Smitty. I just have to ask how the hooks are attached. It almost looks like there is a swivel mounted in the belly and tail cavity areas. Some times, photos don’t always tell the whole story and others, my eyes tell me lies. smirkplug
I make most of my plugs for stripers then fish with them for largemouth, browntrout, amberjacks, snook, yellowtail, calico bass, lake trout, etc. I have 2 photos in the gallery from smirkplug. I also have lots of wood blanks for poppers and plugs. good luck

Sonny.Barile
Thanks Smitty.......BTW I am also a salt water striper guy. I live in NJ....which has a great spring and fall run of stripers...........Seems I am always wishing the lures I buy were just a little bit different. I pondered the thought of trying to build some of my own......and ended up here.......I have a couple of diferent designs in my head and also a few materials I would like to try. I will post pics just as soon as I get something worth looking at......Again....Thanks for the help........

redg8r
Hi Fellas, I recognize some virtual faces from stripersonline. welcome aboard. I have a question for you salty gents, what is the preferred material for striper baits? Maple? some other hardwood? Balsa? Basswood? I watched a discussion over on stripersonline where some of you are working with closed cell PVC, any pointers? Thanks. P.S. Braveviper, you know you can download your messages to your PC & wipe your PM box clean? just a FYI, I have 450 pm's if you care to know
