VMAXX
I've been working on a fire tiger pattern, do most people use a stencil or freehand them ? I've tried freehanding dropping down to the #1 needle(paasche brush) and I can't tell a difference in my line width,my #3 shoot's practically the same....any ideas thank's Vmaxx
Hughesy
Stencils are the only way to go on stuff like stripes and dots!

Guest Anonymous
I stencil everything. Speeds up the process and has good results with respect to airbrushing "fade out" details like perch stripes or the sort.
joe32
Hi,I have to agree with the majority here that stencils make the whole process of painting stripes a lot easier and you also get the same pattern everytime.
woodenfeather
I have been using Sharpies( felt tip permanent pens) for stripes and such. I'm sure a stencil would be the way to go for making alot of the same but I think its fun to freehand 'em when making just one or few for yourself. This only works if your using an epoxy topcoat.
