WoodyA
Received my combination stick bait mold from Del last week. Having a blast making sticks. Can't believe it is so easy to pour sticks. However, the diameter of these sticks is slightly larger than a true senko. As a result, my wacky tool is too small for them. Anyone have suggestions on where to purchase a larger tool? Thanks for the help. Woody

mbroggi1
Try putting the O ring right in the stick mold before puring, Save a step on the water? Del, ever been tried???
Delw
thats pretty cool, Now I understand the o-ring deal. couldnt you get a piece of copper pipe that the bait would fit into? Mike. sure a o-ring can be machined into molds thats not a problem., people could even mold them in with pop and Silicon molds as well. I dont know if an o-ring would melt or not when pouring. I think o-rings are pretty high temps.
mbroggi1
We simple guys just find the appropriate old metal or plastic pen unscrew it slide the stick in and roll the o ring up the pen. I bet we could just put the o ring into one of your existing molds and the groves would hold it, i'll give it a try next pour.
braveviper
Whoa wait a second. Why bother with all the O rings and tools? The reason this method was invented was guys were tired of losing the expensive senkos while wacky rigging.Your pouring your own! Rig it wacky style, let the fish have her way with it.Whatever gets back to the boat re-melt and make more!
Smallie
From what I have seen lying on the floor in my buddies boat, the o-ring starts to dig into the stick and looks like it will cut it in half. I don't know if there is a reaction between the o-ring and the plastic bait or if the tension of the stretched o-ring starts to compress the plastic but it was necking it down quiet a bit. bobothewizard
Not sure why you need a tool for this. I just take the O ring, put it on the end of the senko and roll it up to the middle. Been using this method for 2 years now and if you do not want to lose your senkos this is the way to go. Works great!
WoodyA
Del, A few guys explained it perfectly. They are very popular in my bass club. Why bother with all the O rings and tools? I'm just cheap I guess:lol:
