Z-Reel
Has anybody ever done business with Mike's Reel Repair? I ordered some parts two weeks ago and have been on the edge of my seat waiting. I emailed once to ask status and got a brief "it hasn't shipped yet" answer. Now I just got an email saying its back ordered . Anybody know another place to get Daiwa Feugo parts from? Call Daiwa direct 1-562-802-9589, I deal direct with them all the time. HookUp
I've dealt with Daiwa directly on purchasing parts and they have been stellar in their service and response. I wouldn't say the same for Shimano.
Minuteman
I bought some Daiwa parts from Mike a few years ago for a an old spare reel. The fact that I saved his site and number means I must have been satisfied. Not only that, but I think he is the one that hooked me up with the reel schematics for all my reels. At least where to download them.
Germantown Bob
I have had good and bad results with Mike's Reel Repair, but always the service is slow. They (Mike's) blame it on the Postal Service in Canada, but the last order I placed and prepaid, they lost or misplaced it and after 3 weeks it had not been shipped. I raised hell with them over the phone and they said they would get it right out...three more weeks went by and the oprder finally came in and it had the wrong bearings in it. I had ordered Ceramic bearings and they sent S.S. Needless to say in my book, you don't get three strikes, two strikes and they are out. i will be shopping elsewhere from now on. strosfann
I ordered a part from Mike's and 84 days later they sent me the wrong part - incredible ineptitude really. In a time when good businesses or dropping like flies how does something like this manage to survive?
Germantown Bob
I have given up completely on Mike's as they are just Clueless! I now get all my parts for my Abu's from Dad's Ole Tckle in Conroe TX, and a few from Gilbert's Paylake in KY. The guy at Dad's is really great, he is helpful over the phone with info and he ships lightning fast! Give him a try...
