illinikrum35
Hey guys, new to the site and the art of tackle craft. I am a senior at the University of Illinois and a member of the Fighting Illini Bass Club (holla). Glad to be part of the site and look forward to learning more than I ever thought possible about making my own baits.

Vodkaman
Welcome to the tacklemaking University. I have learned more here than I ever did at college!
Palmetto Balsa
Welcome to IT. I think your president of the Fighting Illini Bass Club is a member on here. I wish there were Bass Clubs when I went to College. My second choice for fantasy clubs would have been something like... NO just Bass Fishing. Spike-A-Pike
illinikrum35. 1) Welcome to the fray known as the Tackleunderground. I think your going to like the site and how you learn what you need to win a few tourniments. I know students are normally limited on two important resources; a. time and b. money. 2) Wikipedia doesn't list the Fighting Illini Bass Club as one of the official athletics teams of the University - WHY? You guys need to get on the ball. 3) There is a growing forum of Member Submitted Tutorials with a good range of tackle making information. I know students don't normally have a lot of room for tools, storage, etc., but you may be limited as far as access to tools, you may be able to get some of the members to help. If you want to try carving crankbaits, you may be able to find some one to cut lip slots in your blanks. That way, you can focus on the actual wood carving aspect of tackle making. If you know an art major, you may get some good air brush time and skills. Be creative, the worst that can happen is somebody says no. Wlecome aboard and see you arount the TU campus.
