flippinfool
mix hard and soft lead ? Example soft lead from old shower pans (nice clean stuff) and hard pure lead (look like bricks). If so what do you end up with ? Medium soft lead ? Or is it best to keep the lead ingots separate hard/soft ?
nova
Pure lead is quite soft. The "hard" one you mention might be printers lead which has other metals in it like zinc and tin. Yes you can mix them and come out with a "medium". I mix pure lead and wheel weights about 50/50. It pours well and has the hardness I want. www.novalures.com
