Hawgydawg
Have any of you guys seen any videos on painting baits out there? If not I bet someone could make one and sell several of them!
Cuttem Jack
I would be interested in that video. Good suggestion!
Palmetto Balsa
If you are looking for inspiration, check out Janez Jevnikar spraying paint. Here are 5 videos he has put together. Yea, he's not painting baits but it is much the same. If you haven't seen them, you should be able to learn some good techniques that will transfer over to baits very well. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/741114/spray_paint_art_1/ http://www.metacafe.com/watch/758348/two_worlds/ http://www.metacafe.com/watch/754981/spray_paint_art_3/ http://www.metacafe.com/watch/899165/spray_paint_art_4/ http://www.metacafe.com/watch/965507/spray_paint_art_5/ I like that final clearcoat he puts on them. Palmetto Balsa
About the resperator... He has a spray booth. If you look at the photos where he lights the clearcoat you will see that there is very little if any vapor or fumes that could escape the booth. I think he booth draws from underneath on all sides around the paper. He has a 8" or 10" vent hose you can see in the first few seconds of the first video. dampeoples
Yes, booth or no booth, he should be wearing a respirator. He does at least wear gloves.
Orion
That's what I was thinking. I saw the booth and the big hose but still. That... stuff... is pretty bad for you. There have been a lot of amazing spraypaint artist that have died from ingesting the fumes.
