stripercrazy Posted February 10, 2008 Report Share Posted February 10, 2008 been thinking about the squid run comming this spring(may) been building some poppers and spooks..used propionate to seal..wish I'd tried this stuff when I first heard a couple of guy talking about it on other sites. so far I'm loveing this sealer...poppers 1.5oz just over 5 inch and spook-like other is 2.5oz and 6 inch...I guess a real spook the eye tie would have to be under the nose:)there cypress wood...the spook has a 15 gram tailweight after testing I'm thinking of putting a 13 gram tailweight in... I have the bug to build some lures...so I started poking my nose into this and some other sites to increase my "learnabilty". I noticed the wicked looking top water squids posted by StriperCrazy. I am familiar with the angled head variety, but what about the bullet headed one? What kind of action does that provide? Does it splash when pulled?
